Dental clinics

Dental software that charts tooth by tooth.

92health gives a dental clinic its own workspace: medical flags read before anything is done, an odontogram that holds existing, planned and completed work, a six-site perio chart, and a treatment plan priced phase by phase.

The odontogram, upper and lower

Schematic
The visit01

One dental visit, step by step.

Each step is a screen built for the person doing it. Scroll through them in the order a patient meets them.

  1. Front desk

    Medical flags first

Reception books the visit under the dental department, and it opens on the dental workspace. A strip above the chart shows the patient's flags: a penicillin or local anaesthetic allergy, blood thinners, endocarditis prophylaxis, pregnancy, diabetes, and tobacco or areca nut.

  2. Charting

    The odontogram

Teeth are numbered in FDI, Universal or Palmer, for an adult, a child or a mixed dentition. A finding is recorded on the tooth and its surfaces, and existing, planned and completed work each show in their own colour. The DMFT count is worked out as you chart.

  3. Periodontal

    A six-site perio chart

Probing depth and recession are entered at six sites a tooth, and the attachment loss and the bleeding percentage are worked out. Mobility and furcation are recorded per tooth, and a BPE screen by sextant takes a minute.

  4. Exam

    Soft tissue and occlusion

An oral cancer screen pins each lesion to its place on a map of the mouth. Occlusion records the Angle class, overjet, overbite, crossbite, the midline and the TMJ.

  5. Treatment plan

Phased, priced and on the chart

Procedures are grouped into phases, each with its estimate in rupees and a total for the plan. Phases can be reordered, and the planned work shows on the odontogram until it is done.

  6. Surgery

    Implants, extractions and the time-out

An implant is planned on the CBCT cross-section with the fixture, the bone and the margin to the nerve. Impacted teeth are classed by angulation and nerve proximity, a smile design carries the shade and its estimate, and a surgical time-out is completed before the first cut.

Treatment plans02
From the first finding to the last visit

A treatment plan the patient can follow and the clinic can price.

Every procedure on the plan sits in a phase, against a tooth, with its estimate. The total updates as the plan changes, and the phases can be moved to match what the patient decides to do first.

Planned work shows on the odontogram in its own colour. When a procedure is done it moves to completed, so the chart always says what has been done and what is still to come.

  • Phases you can reorder
  • An estimate for each procedure and a total
  • Planned work shown on the odontogram
  • Completed work moved across as it is done

The rest of the clinic03

The rest of the clinic, on the same record.

The pharmacy, the counter and the books run on the same patient record, so a patient is registered once and pays once.

Plain answers04

Questions dental clinics ask.

Which tooth numbering does it use?
FDI by default, with Universal and Palmer one switch away. The chart works for a permanent, a primary or a mixed dentition, so a child is charted on the teeth they have.
Does it work out attachment loss?
Yes. Enter the probing depth and the recession at each site, and the clinical attachment loss and the bleeding percentage are worked out for the chart.
Does it warn before a procedure?
The patient's medical flags sit above the chart on every visit, so an allergy, a blood thinner or a pregnancy is seen before treatment starts. Surgery has its own time-out to complete before the first cut.
How long does it take to go live?
Usually within a week. We set up departments, doctors, fees and stock with your team, import your patient register and stock from spreadsheets, and train the front desk, nurses and doctors in a few hours.
